
Meet Dr. Veda Pendleton
Building on her three-decade career in education, Dr. Veda Pendleton brings unparalleled expertise to JCPS District 3. Her leadership is defined by an unwavering commitment to fostering student equity and a deep-seated passion for advancing academic excellence for all.
As a retired educator, Dr. Pendleton has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of a quality education. She is uniquely qualified to lead our district through a period of critical change, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.
Dr. Pendleton earned a Ph.D. in reading education from The University of Georgia, a Master of Science in reading from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wesleyan University.
She is the mother of the Fabulous Five and a grandmother of the Elite Eight. Dr. Pendleton is an author and entrepreneur. She serves as a deacon at Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church.
